If you'd like it less active - spend your day sightseeing. There are the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren region, the Ailwee Caves, Bunratty Folk Park, the Loop Head Peninsula, well known for rare birds, dolphins and whale watching. Boats also leave from Carrigaholt and Kilrush Marina on Dolphin Watching tours.The town of Kilrush offers a outdoor activity centre for all kinds of water sports.

The area is also famous for the Traditional Irish Music and Set Dancing! There are also medieval banquets an Bunratty and Knappogue Castles.
